Solid Affiliate vs SliceWP: Which WooCommerce Affiliate Plugin in 2026?
Solid Affiliate vs SliceWP compared on the same WooCommerce store: free version, prices and renewals, lifetime licences, features by plan and what we measured.
Solid Affiliate and SliceWP both let a WooCommerce store run its own affiliate program. Solid Affiliate is built for WooCommerce stores. SliceWP works with WooCommerce and a list of other store and membership plugins, and it has a free version. Both developers say setup takes minutes, so the real differences are in what each plan includes, how payouts work and what you pay from the second year.
How we tested. We installed Solid Affiliate 3.1.0 and the free SliceWP 1.2.12, one at a time, on the same clean WordPress site with WooCommerce and the default Twenty Twenty-Five theme. Each had the same seven example affiliates with example referrals and visits; SliceWP’s referrals are spread over 30 days, while Solid Affiliate’s were all created on one day, so the figures in the screenshots differ between the two. We opened every settings screen, took each payout screen as far as the preview without sending any money, logged in as one of the affiliates, and measured each plugin’s size and what it adds to the storefront. We did not have SliceWP’s paid add-ons installed, so what this article says about them comes from SliceWP’s own pages. The Solid Affiliate copy on our test store had every Pro feature switched on, so its screens show the Pro plan; which plan includes each feature comes from Solid Affiliate’s pricing page. Prices were read from both developers’ pricing pages on 4 October 2026; the sources are linked at the end.

The short answer
- Choose SliceWP if you want to start free, sell through Easy Digital Downloads or a membership plugin as well as WooCommerce, want Stripe payouts or multi-level affiliates, or want a lifetime licence. It is also cheaper from the second year.
- Choose Solid Affiliate if you run WooCommerce and nothing else and want a dashboard with a live activity feed, payout filters by affiliate or group, and a portal that looks polished with no setup.
- On cost, SliceWP wins at every size. One site over three years is $627 against $897.60, and ten sites is $957 against $1,722.70.
Side by side
| Solid Affiliate | SliceWP | |
|---|---|---|
| Made by | Solid Plugins, LLC | SliceWP |
| Free version | No | Yes, on WordPress.org (10,000+ active installations, 4.9 from 111 ratings) |
| Lowest paid plan | Starter: $149.60 first year, then $374 (1 site) | Pro: $169 first year, then $229 (1 site) |
| Middle plan | Expert: $174.65 first year, then $499 (3 sites) | None |
| Largest plan | Pro: $224.70 first year, then $749 (10 sites) | Pro Plus: $259 first year, then $349 (10 sites) |
| Lifetime licence | Not offered | $429 for 1 site, $649 for 10 during a 25% off sale (normally $589 and $899) |
| Features by plan | Split across three plans | Every feature and add-on in both paid plans |
| Works with | WooCommerce | 13 plugins in the free version’s code: 10 store and membership plugins and 3 form plugins |
| Payouts | PayPal, store credit, CSV for manual payment | Manual in the free version; PayPal, Stripe and store credit on paid plans |
| Support | Included on every plan | Email on Pro, priority on Pro Plus, forums for the free version |
| Refund | 30 days | 30 days |
| Users, as claimed by the developer | 10,000+ | 12,100+ |
Both developers say the lower figure is a first-year price and that renewals are at the regular price. One comparison that ranks for this search, on breakdance.com, quotes Solid Affiliate as “$149.60 per year” and SliceWP as “$169 per year”; those are first-year prices only.
Integrations: the deciding factor
Solid Affiliate’s FAQ says it “integrates primarily with WooCommerce”, and it lists no other store or membership plugin as available; its in-plugin help lists Easy Digital Downloads as “Coming Soon”. SliceWP’s settings in the free version list ten platforms: WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, GetPaid, Paid Memberships Pro, MemberPress, Paid Member Subscriptions, Restrict Content Pro, Studiocart, SureCart and Upsell. Its code also has integrations for three form plugins, Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms and WS Form, which the settings screen does not show; with those, the total matches SliceWP’s own “13+ integrations”.
If you sell anything outside WooCommerce, or might later, that settles it: SliceWP. If you are WooCommerce-only, read on, because the rest is closer.
Price over three years
| One site | Solid Affiliate Starter | SliceWP Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | $149.60 | $169 |
| Year 2 | $374 | $229 |
| Year 3 | $374 | $229 |
| Three years | $897.60 | $627, or $429 once for a lifetime licence |
| Ten sites | Solid Affiliate Pro | SliceWP Pro Plus |
|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | $224.70 | $259 |
| Years 2 and 3 | $749 each | $349 each |
| Three years | $1,722.70 | $957, or $649 once for a lifetime licence |
| Per site over three years | $172.27 | $95.70 |
Solid Affiliate is $19.40 cheaper in the first year on one site. From the second year SliceWP costs $145 a year less on one site and $400 a year less on ten. The feature split widens the gap: lifetime commissions, subscription renewal commissions and revenue sharing need Solid Affiliate’s Pro plan, so one site that needs them costs $1,722.70 over three years with Solid Affiliate against $627 with SliceWP.
Figures assume both developers keep their published prices. SliceWP’s lifetime prices are sale prices, and SliceWP says support and updates run only while a subscription is active, so ask the developer how that applies to a lifetime licence before you buy one.
The free version
Only SliceWP has one, and it is more than a demo. On our test store the free plugin ran a full program: affiliate registration with approval, referral links with a choice of first or last affiliate credit, friendly URLs and a QR code for each link, percentage or fixed commissions with a separate rate for subscription purchases, a “new customers only” option, refund rejection, a refund grace period, a minimum payout amount, manual payouts, eight email notifications and three CAPTCHA providers.
The paid plans add Stripe payouts, and their add-ons add PayPal and store credit payouts, affiliate coupons, landing pages, custom affiliate slugs, custom registration fields, per-product and per-affiliate rates, recurring and lifetime commissions, multi-level affiliates, revenue share, reports, multi-currency, cross-site tracking, a REST API and Mailchimp, MailerLite and ConvertKit integrations. In the free plugin’s payout settings, PayPal, Stripe and store credit are each marked “Pro Feature”.
Solid Affiliate’s developer offers no free version and no formal trial, and a 30-day refund instead, though the plugin runs for seven days before it asks for a licence key.
Setup
Both open a setup wizard on activation. SliceWP’s asks which platform you sell on, then the commission rate, currency and cookie length, then offers to create three pages (affiliate account, registration and password reset), all pre-selected and each optional, and which emails to switch on.
Solid Affiliate’s wizard is WooCommerce-only from the first screen. It creates one Affiliate Portal page, which holds the login and registration forms, sets the default commission (and a renewal rate, if WooCommerce Subscriptions is active), sets up emails and affiliate coupons, and offers to turn existing users into affiliates.
The pages come from the wizards, not from activating the plugin: we did not finish either wizard, and neither plugin had created a page on our store. A comparison on wpallimport.com marks both as creating their portal pages automatically. Solid Affiliate’s wizard makes one page, not three, and SliceWP’s makes three unless you untick them.
Commissions
| Commission feature | Solid Affiliate | SliceWP |
|---|---|---|
| Percentage or flat rate, site-wide | All plans | Free |
| Commissions on subscription renewals | Pro | Paid add-on (the free version has a separate rate for the first subscription payment) |
| Per-affiliate rates | Yes, plan not stated | Paid add-on |
| Per-product rates | Yes, plan not stated | Paid add-on |
| Affiliate groups with their own rate | All plans | Not listed |
| Commissions for new customers only | Yes | Free |
| Lifetime commissions | Pro | Paid add-on |
| Revenue share (a product linked to an affiliate) | Pro | Paid add-on |
| Multi-level affiliates | No | Paid add-on |
| Performance bonuses | Sign-up bonus on Expert | Paid add-on |
| Lead commissions from a contact form | Not listed | Paid add-on |
Both use a 20% default rate on our store. The difference is where each feature sits. Solid Affiliate puts flexible rates and affiliate groups in every plan but keeps lifetime and renewal commissions for Pro. SliceWP’s paid plans include everything, so the question is only whether you need more than the free version.
Solid Affiliate’s Commission Rates page lists every rate in the order it applies, starting with a rate for one affiliate on one product. When an affiliate is paid an amount you did not expect, that page shows which type of rule takes priority.
Tracking and coupons
| Tracking feature | Solid Affiliate | SliceWP |
|---|---|---|
| Referral links and cookie length | All plans | Free |
| First or last affiliate credit | Always the last affiliate, no setting | Free |
| Friendly links (/aff/1/) | Not listed | Free |
| QR code for each link | No | Free |
| Coupon tracking | All plans | Paid add-on |
| A coupon created for each new affiliate | Yes; a Pro feature in the plugin’s code, not on the pricing page | Not listed |
| Coupon applied from an affiliate’s link | Pro | Not listed |
| Custom affiliate slugs | Pro | Paid add-on |
| Affiliate landing pages | Pro | Paid add-on |
| Cross-site tracking | Not listed | Paid add-on |
Solid Affiliate documents more coupon automation: it can create a WooCommerce coupon for each affiliate when they are approved and apply it when a visitor arrives through their link. SliceWP is stronger on links: first or last credit, friendly URLs and QR codes are all in the free version.
The wpallimport.com comparison marks SliceWP as having no landing pages, custom slugs or revenue sharing. All three are on SliceWP’s add-ons page and included in both paid plans.
Payouts

| Payout feature | Solid Affiliate | SliceWP |
|---|---|---|
| Manual payout | CSV export, all plans | Free |
| PayPal bulk payouts | All plans | Paid add-on |
| Stripe payouts | No | Paid plans |
| Store credit | All plans | Paid add-on |
| Minimum payout amount | Yes | Free |
| Refund grace period | Yes | Free |
| Pay chosen affiliates or groups only | Pro (advanced payout filters) | Choose included affiliates |
| Affiliates request their own payout | No | Paid add-on |
| Preview before paying | Yes | Yes |
With the example referrals on our store, Solid Affiliate’s Pay Affiliates screen showed $1,489.20 due to six affiliates under “all unpaid referrals”, then let us include or exclude affiliates and choose PayPal, store credit or a CSV. SliceWP’s dashboard told us six affiliates were eligible for payment, totalling $1,087.20, and its Create Payout screen asked for a cut-off date, a minimum amount and which affiliates to include before previewing.
The gap is the payment method. Solid Affiliate pays through PayPal or store credit and has no Stripe. SliceWP adds Stripe on its paid plans, and lets affiliates request a payout from their own account.
Fraud and refunds
| Protection | Solid Affiliate | SliceWP |
|---|---|---|
| Block self-referrals | Yes, off by default | Free, on by default |
| Reject unpaid commissions on refund | Yes | Free |
| Grace period before commissions are paid | Yes, 30 days by default | Free, 0 days by default |
| CAPTCHA on affiliate forms | Google reCAPTCHA | reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha or Cloudflare Turnstile, free |
| Turn off IP address logging | Yes | Not listed |
| Branded fraud suite | “Fraud Prevention Suite”, listed on Pro | Not listed |
Solid Affiliate markets a Fraud Prevention Suite on its Pro plan. Its settings screen shows four settings: self-referrals, a grace period in days, refund rejection and IP logging. SliceWP does not use the word “suite”, but its free version covers the same three protections, plus a choice of three CAPTCHA providers. The defaults differ: SliceWP blocks self-referrals out of the box and starts with no grace period, while Solid Affiliate starts with self-referral blocking off and a 30-day grace period. Check both settings whichever you choose.
The admin dashboard

Solid Affiliate’s dashboard opens with notifications, all-time revenue and commission figures, an activity feed listing each referred order with the affiliate and commission, and a panel of tips. It is the more polished of the two.
SliceWP’s dashboard is plainer and more practical. It opened with how many affiliates were waiting for approval and the total due for payment, then totals for the last 30 days: referral revenue, commissions, net revenue, visits and new affiliates.
The affiliate’s view

We logged in as the same test affiliate in both. Solid Affiliate’s portal has its own design and opens on all-time totals: referrals, visits, paid and unpaid earnings and store credit, with tabs for referrals, visits, payouts, coupons, creatives, affiliate links and settings.
SliceWP’s account page uses your theme’s fonts and opens on the last 30 days, with a chart of visits, commissions and earnings, all-time paid and unpaid totals, and the affiliate’s commission rate and cookie length. Its tabs cover affiliate links, commissions, visits, creatives, payouts and settings. Solid Affiliate’s looks better out of the box; SliceWP’s tells the affiliate more about how they are doing this month.
Reports
| Reporting | Solid Affiliate | SliceWP |
|---|---|---|
| Reports screen | All plans: overview, affiliates, referrals, payouts, visits, coupons | Paid add-on; the free version shows dashboard totals |
| Date ranges | Presets from today to all time, plus custom | Last 30 days and other ranges on the dashboard |
| Monthly email report to you | Yes, on by default; the pricing page lists it on Expert and Pro | Not listed |
Reporting is Solid Affiliate’s clearest advantage over SliceWP’s free version. Its reports compare your chosen period with all time, this year and last year in one table. On a SliceWP paid plan the gap narrows, because the Reports add-on is included.
Emails
| Solid Affiliate | SliceWP (free) | |
|---|---|---|
| Template | Default template or plain text | Default template or plain text, with your logo |
| To you: new affiliate sign-up | Yes | Yes |
| To you: new referral | Yes | Yes |
| To the affiliate: application received | Not listed | Yes |
| To the affiliate: application approved | Yes | Yes |
| To the affiliate: application rejected | Not listed | Yes |
| To the affiliate: new referral | Yes | Yes, when the order completes |
| To the affiliate: commission rejected | Not listed | Yes |
| To the affiliate: payment sent | Store credit added | Yes |
| To you: monthly report | Yes, on by default | Not listed |
| Welcome email | When the setup wizard invites existing users | When you add or register an affiliate yourself |
SliceWP’s free version can send nine kinds of email, counting an optional welcome email when you add an affiliate yourself, and Solid Affiliate seven. SliceWP’s are aimed more at affiliates: it tells them when their application is received or rejected, when a commission is rejected and when they have been paid. SliceWP has a preview and a test-send button on each email; Solid Affiliate has test-send buttons on four. Solid Affiliate’s extras are a monthly report to you and a notice to the affiliate when store credit is added.
Managing affiliates
| Management feature | Solid Affiliate | SliceWP |
|---|---|---|
| Manual or automatic approval | Yes | Free |
| Register new users as affiliates automatically | Yes, an add-on switch in the plugin | Free |
| Custom registration form | Built-in form editor, Pro on the pricing page | Custom fields, paid add-on |
| Affiliate groups | All plans | In its code (a default group and a group filter), not on its pricing or add-ons pages |
| Affiliate tags | Expert and Pro | Not listed |
| See the portal as an affiliate | Pro | Not listed |
| Data export to CSV | All plans | Paid add-on |
| Mailing list sign-up for affiliates | Mailchimp | Mailchimp, MailerLite or ConvertKit, paid add-ons |
| REST API | No | Paid add-on |
| Multi-currency commissions | Not listed | Paid add-on |
Solid Affiliate gives you more ways to organise affiliates: groups on every plan, tags and a preview of each affiliate’s portal. SliceWP gives you more ways to connect them to other tools.
Performance
| On our test store | Solid Affiliate 3.1.0 | SliceWP 1.2.12 (free) |
|---|---|---|
| Size on disk | 16.0 MB (620 files) | 8.5 MB (312 files) |
| Database tables created | 11 | 16 |
| Scripts added to the home and shop pages | 2 | 1 |
| Stylesheets added | 1 | 1 |
| Bytes added to the page head | 1,398 | 1,024 |
Neither adds anything heavy to the storefront. SliceWP’s free plugin is about half the size; its paid add-ons would be extra.

On PureGPL
Solid Affiliate is in our catalogue at $3.49. Our file is version 3.1.0, last updated in January 2025, and the Solid Affiliate screens in this article come from that file, so the developer’s current release may look different. SliceWP’s free version is on WordPress.org; we do not carry its paid add-ons.
What a GPL copy does and does not include
Solid Affiliate is licensed under the GPL v2, according to its developer’s licence agreement, which is why we can distribute it. A copy from PureGPL is not a licence with the developer, so you do not get their support, and anything that runs through the developer’s own account or service is not part of it. Updates come from us. If you need the developer’s support, buy from the developer.

Frequently asked questions
Is SliceWP better than Solid Affiliate?
For most stores, yes: it has a free version, works beyond WooCommerce, adds Stripe payouts and costs less from the second year. Solid Affiliate is the better pick for a WooCommerce-only store that wants reports on every plan, a polished dashboard and coupon automation.
Does Solid Affiliate have a free version?
No. Plans start at $149.60 for the first year, renewing at $374, with a 30-day refund.
Does SliceWP have affiliate landing pages, custom slugs and revenue sharing?
Yes. All three are SliceWP add-ons, included in both paid plans. They are not in the free version.
Can Solid Affiliate pay affiliates through Stripe?
No. It pays through PayPal or store credit, or exports a CSV so you can pay another way. SliceWP supports Stripe on its paid plans.
Which is lighter?
On our test store SliceWP’s free plugin was 8.5 MB against Solid Affiliate’s 16.0 MB. SliceWP created more database tables (16 against 11). Both add one stylesheet and one or two small scripts to the storefront.
Can I switch from one to the other?
Check each developer’s documentation for an import tool first, test on a staging copy, and keep existing referral links working, because affiliates have already shared them. The two use different link formats (Solid Affiliate’s ?sld=, SliceWP’s ?aff=), so plan redirects for links already in use.
