Solid Affiliate vs SliceWP: Which WooCommerce Affiliate Plugin in 2026?

Solid Affiliate vs SliceWP compared on the same WooCommerce store: free version, prices and renewals, lifetime licences, features by plan and what we measured.

Solid Affiliate and SliceWP are the two plugins most WooCommerce stores shortlist once they decide AffiliateWP is more than they need. Solid Affiliate is built for WooCommerce alone, SliceWP works with WooCommerce and a dozen other plugins, and both set up in minutes. The differences are in the free version (one has one, one does not), what each paid plan includes, and how the renewals add up.

We installed both on the same test store and read both developers’ pricing pages on 3 October 2026. That is what this comparison is built on.

The short answer

  • Choose Solid Affiliate if you run WooCommerce and nothing else, want the fraud prevention suite and a drag-and-drop registration form builder (both on its Pro plan), and prefer a plugin made for one platform.
  • Choose SliceWP if you want to start free, sell through Easy Digital Downloads or a membership plugin as well as WooCommerce, want a lifetime licence, or care about the renewal price.

What we found on the test store

We installed Solid Affiliate 3.1.0 and the free SliceWP 1.2.12 on the same clean WordPress site with WooCommerce. Both open with a setup wizard and both create the affiliate pages (area, login, registration) by themselves.

Solid Affiliate 3.1.0 SliceWP 1.2.12 (free)
Size on disk 16.0 MB 8.5 MB
Database tables created 11 16
Scripts added to a public page 2 1
Stylesheets added to a public page 1 1
First screen after activation Setup wizard Setup wizard

Neither plugin loads anything heavy on the storefront: one or two scripts and one stylesheet. One thing worth knowing from reading its code: Solid Affiliate checks its licence and its updates with its maker’s server.

Free version: only SliceWP has one

SliceWP’s free plugin runs a working program: unlimited affiliates, an affiliate area with registration, login and account pages, manual or automatic approval, percentage or fixed commissions, automatic tracking, unlimited creatives, email notifications, and WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads integrations. It needs WordPress 6.0 and PHP 7.3 or newer. Its paid add-ons add PayPal and Stripe payouts, store credit, affiliate coupons, multi-level affiliates, landing pages, custom registration fields, per-product and per-affiliate rates, reports, recurring and lifetime commissions, lead commissions and social share, plus multi-currency, cross-site tracking, performance bonuses, an affiliate leaderboard, a REST API and Mailchimp, MailerLite and ConvertKit integrations.

Solid Affiliate has no free version and no trial. The developer offers a 30-day refund instead.

Solid Affiliate

Starter ($149.60 first year, then $374) covers one site with unlimited affiliates, affiliate groups, flexible commission rates, one-click PayPal payouts, store credit, a payout history, WooCommerce coupon tracking, order details for affiliates and data export. Expert ($174.65, then $499) covers three sites and adds affiliate tags, a quick search tool, monthly email reports and a sign-up bonus. Pro ($224.70, then $749) covers ten sites and adds lifetime commissions, revenue sharing, advanced payout filters, the fraud prevention suite, a preview-as-affiliate tool, landing pages, a white-label affiliate area, custom emails, custom registration forms, coupon discount links, custom affiliate slugs and subscription renewal referrals. The developer says you can switch plans or cancel at any time.

SliceWP

Two plans, both with every feature and add-on. Pro, with email support, is $169 for the first year on one site, renewing at $229. Pro Plus is $259 on ten sites, renewing at $349, with priority support. Both are also sold as lifetime licences: $429 and $649 during the current 25% off sale, normally $589 and $899. Add-ons are not sold one by one, and SliceWP says support and updates run only while a subscription is active, so ask how that applies to a lifetime licence before you buy one.

Three-year cost

Solid Affiliate SliceWP
1 site, 3 years $897.60 (Starter) $627 (Pro), or $429 once
Lifetime commissions on 1 site, 3 years $1,722.70 (Pro, the only plan with them) $627 (included), or $429 once
10 sites, 3 years $1,722.70 (Pro) $957 (Pro Plus), or $649 once

Calculated from the first-year sale price plus two renewals at the regular price, as listed on 3 October 2026, assuming prices do not change. The lifetime figures are sale prices. On one site the first-year prices are close; the gap opens at renewal, where Solid Affiliate’s Starter costs $374 against SliceWP’s $229.

Where Solid Affiliate is ahead

  • Fraud prevention suite on the Pro plan. SliceWP does not list one.
  • A drag-and-drop form builder for the registration form, on Pro. SliceWP lets you add custom fields but does not describe a builder.
  • Preview as affiliate on Pro, so you see exactly what a partner sees.
  • Depth on WooCommerce. It connects automatically, coupon tracking is in every plan, and subscription renewal commissions are on Pro.

Where SliceWP is ahead

  • A free version that already runs a program.
  • Beyond WooCommerce: Easy Digital Downloads and membership plugins are covered; Solid Affiliate is built for WooCommerce and lists no other store or membership integration.
  • Everything in every paid plan, including lifetime and recurring commissions, which Solid Affiliate keeps for Pro.
  • Lifetime licences and lower renewals.
  • Stripe payouts and affiliate payout requests.
  • Multi-level affiliates, which Solid Affiliate does not list.
  • Multi-currency, cross-site tracking, a REST API and email marketing integrations, none of which Solid Affiliate lists. Product revenue share is in every paid plan, where Solid Affiliate keeps it for Pro.

Ease of use

Both are simple. Solid Affiliate’s four-step wizard and WooCommerce-only scope mean there is little to decide. SliceWP’s admin has a similar shape (dashboard, affiliates, commissions, visits, payouts, creatives, settings) and its settings fit on a few screens. Neither needs code.

On PureGPL

Solid Affiliate is in our catalogue at $3.49. Our file is version 3.1.0, last updated in January 2025, so check the developer’s changelog before relying on a recent feature. SliceWP’s free version is on WordPress.org; we do not carry its paid add-ons.

What a GPL copy does and does not include

Solid Affiliate is licensed under the GPL, which is why we can distribute it. A copy from PureGPL is the developer’s original file. It is not a licence with the developer, so you do not get their support, and anything that runs through the developer’s own account or service is not part of it. Updates come from us. If you need the developer’s support, buy from the developer.

Frequently asked questions

Is SliceWP better than Solid Affiliate?

Does Solid Affiliate have a free version?

No. Plans start at $149.60 for the first year, with a 30-day refund.

Does SliceWP work with WooCommerce?

Yes, in the free version, along with Easy Digital Downloads.

Which is lighter?

On our test site SliceWP’s free plugin was 8.5 MB against Solid Affiliate’s 16.0 MB. SliceWP created more database tables (16 against 11). Both add one stylesheet and one or two scripts to the storefront.

Can I switch from one to the other?

Check each developer’s documentation for an import tool first, test on a staging copy, and keep existing referral links working, because affiliates have already shared them.
