Content Egg Review 2026: Price Comparison for Affiliate Sites
Content Egg review: 30+ affiliate networks, price comparison, price history and alerts. Pricing, setup effort, and Content Egg vs AAWP.
Most affiliate display plugins do one network, usually Amazon. Content Egg, from KeywordRush, is built for the opposite case: pulling the same product from several affiliate networks and showing the offers side by side. That makes it the usual choice for price comparison and deal sites on WordPress. This review covers what it does, the price, and when a simpler plugin is the better buy.
Features and prices were read from keywordrush.com on 2 October 2026.

Quick verdict
Content Egg is the strongest option when you promote products that are sold by several merchants, because comparing their prices is what it is for. For an Amazon-only site it is more than you need, and AAWP is simpler. It is also one of the few plugins in this area with a one-time licence.
Pros
- Native integrations with more than 30 affiliate networks, including Amazon, eBay, Awin, CJ Affiliate, Impact and Rakuten
- Real price comparison across merchants, with price history charts and price alerts for visitors
- An Amazon module that works without API access, useful before Amazon approves you
- More than 20 product display templates, plus Gutenberg blocks
- Lifetime licence available, from $149
Cons
- You still need your own approved account with each network you connect
- Many modules and settings: expect an afternoon of setup, not ten minutes
- Overkill for a site with one merchant
How it works
The developer describes three stages: get product data in, turn it into pages, and do it at scale.
1. Getting product data
Each network is a module. You switch on the ones you have accounts with and enter your credentials. Then, inside a post, you search a product name and Content Egg returns matching offers from each active module. For merchants with no API, the plugin can also work from product feeds.
2. Displaying it
Offers go into the post through templates: product boxes, grids, lists, comparison tables and price comparison blocks that put every merchant’s price for the same product in one list. Price history charts show how the price has moved, and visitors can sign up for a price alert. Recent versions add “Egg Blocks”, a set of more than 25 editorial blocks for Gutenberg.
3. Keeping it current
Prices and availability are refreshed automatically on a schedule, so a page written months ago does not show an old price. Products can also be imported in bulk and synced to WooCommerce as products, which is how affiliate stores are built with it.
Amazon without the API
New Amazon Associates do not get product API access straight away. Content Egg’s No-API module lets you build Amazon content first and switch to the API once you qualify.
Pricing
| Licence | Per year | One-time |
|---|---|---|
| 1 site | $59 | $149 |
| 5 sites | $99 | $249 |
| 25 sites | $179 | $449 |
If an annual subscription ends, the developer says the plugin keeps working but updates and support stop. There is also a bundle with Affiliate Egg and External Importer from $119 a year.
On PureGPL, Content Egg is $3.49 as a single download, or included in a membership from $14 a month. The current file is version 22.0.2, updated on 30 September 2026. Affiliate Egg is in the catalogue as well.
What a GPL copy does not include
Our copy is the developer’s original file under the GPL, without a licence from KeywordRush. There is no developer support, and any feature that depends on the developer’s own servers or licence check may not be available. Your accounts with the affiliate networks are separate and are yours either way. Updates come from PureGPL.
